Et ecce venit vir, cui nomen Iairus, et ipse princeps synagogæ erat: et cecidit ad pedes Iesu, rogans eum ut intraret in domum eius,
quia unica filia erat ei fere annorum duodecim, et hæc moriebatur. Et contigit, dum iret, a turba comprimebatur.
Et mulier quædam erat in fluxu sanguinis ab annis duodecim, quæ in medicos erogaverat omnem substantiam suam, nec ab ullo potuit curari:
accessit retro, et tetigit fimbriam vestimenti eius: et confestim stetit fluxus sanguinis eius.
Et ait Iesus: Quis est, qui me tetigit? Negantibus autem omnibus, dixit Petrus, et qui cum illo erant: Præceptor, turbæ te comprimunt, et affligunt, et dicis: Quis me tetigit?
Et dicit Iesus: Tetigit me aliquis. Nam ego novi virtutem de me exiisse.
Videns autem mulier, quia non latuit, tremens venit, et procidit ante pedes eius: et ob quam causam tetigerit eum, indicavit coram omni populo: et quemadmodum confestim sanata sit.

“Quando Jesus voltou, foi recebido pela multidão que estava à sua espera. Nessa altura aproximou-se dele um homem, chamado Jairo, que era dirigente da sinagoga. Ajoelhou-se aos pés de Jesus e insistia para que fosse a sua casa, porque tinha uma filha única, de cerca de doze anos de idade, que estava à morte. Enquanto iam a caminho, a multidão apertava Jesus de todos os lados. Ia lá também uma mulher que havia já doze anos sofria duma doença que a fazia perder sangue. Tinha gasto com os médicos tudo quanto possuía, mas ninguém a pôde curar. Ela foi por detrás de Jesus, tocou-lhe na ponta do manto e ficou logo curada da doença. Jesus então perguntou: «Quem foi que me tocou?» Todos negaram. E Pedro disse: «Mestre, é a multidão que te aperta e empurra de todos os lados!» Mas Jesus repetiu: «Houve alguém que me tocou. Eu bem senti que saiu de mim poder.» Então a mulher, vendo que não podia passar despercebida, aproximou-se de Jesus, toda a tremer, ajoelhou-se-lhe aos pés e confessou diante de toda a gente a razão por que tocara em Jesus e como tinha ficado curada imediatamente. Jesus então disse-lhe: “Minha filha, a tua fé te salvou. Vai em paz.””
English translation:
“Now it happened that, when Jesus had returned, the crowd received him. For they were all waiting for him.
And behold, a man came, whose name was Jairus, and he was a leader of the synagogue. And he fell down at the feet of Jesus, asking him to enter into his house.
For he had an only daughter, nearly twelve years old, and she was dying. And it happened that, as he was going there, he was hemmed in by the crowd.
And there was a certain woman, with a flow of blood for twelve years, who had paid out all her substance on physicians, and she was unable to be cured by any of them.
She approached him from behind, and she touched the hem of his garment. And at once the flow of her blood stopped.
And Jesus said, “Who is it that touched me?” But as everyone was denying it, Peter, and those who were with him, said: “Teacher, the crowd hems you in and presses upon you, and yet you say, ‘Who touched me?’ ”
And Jesus said: “Someone has touched me. For I know that power has gone out from me.”
Then the woman, upon seeing that she was not hidden, came forward, trembling, and she fell down before his feet. And she declared before all the people the reason that she had touched him, and how she had been immediately healed.
But he said to her: “Daughter, your faith has saved you. Go in peace.””

Inspiração no cântico "Adoro te devote" l Inspiration on the chant "Adoro te devote".
"Adoro te devote" is a Eucharistic hymn written by Thomas Aquinas. It is one of the five Eucharistic hymns which were composed and set to music for the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, instituted in 1264 by Pope Urban IV.
"Adoro te devote" é um hino eucarístico escrito por Tomás de Aquino. É um dos cinco hinos eucarísticos que foram compostos e musicados para a Solenidade de Corpus Christi, instituída em 1264 pelo Papa Urbano IV.

“Vós sois o sal da terra. Se o sal perde o sabor, com que lhe será restituído o sabor? Para nada mais serve senão para ser lançado fora e calcado pelos homens.”
“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt lose its savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is good for nothing anymore but to be cast out, and to be trodden on by men.”

Ioannes 9:1-7: “Et praeteriens Jesus vidit hominem caecum a nativitate: et interrogaverunt eum discipuli ejus: Rabbi, quis peccavit, hic, aut parentes ejus, ut caecus nasceretur? Respondit Jesus: Neque hic peccavit, neque parentes ejus: sed ut manifestentur opera Dei in illo. Me oportet operari opera ejus qui misit me, donec dies est: venit nox, quando nemo potest operari: quamdiu sum in mundo, lux sum mundi. Haec cum dixisset, exspuit in terram, et fecit lutum ex sputo, et linivit lutum super oculos ejus, et dixit ei: Vade, lava in natatoria Siloe (quod interpretatur Missus). Abiit ergo, et lavit, et venit videns.”
